MT. UNION — For the second consecutive night, the Curwensville Golden Tide wrestling team was on the road, and for the second consecutive night they were dealt a loss to drop to 5-7 on the season as they were defeated by Mt. Union 46-18.
The Tide was up 18-15 at the halfway point in the match, but the visitors swept the final six bouts, including receiving two forfeits, to run away with the match.
Logan Aughenbaugh remained undefeated with a first period fall. Alex Murawski also picked up a pin at 189, and Austin Gilliland received a forfeit at 107 to finish out the Tide scoring.
The Tide will be back in action at the 50 team Mid-Winter Mayhem on the campus of IUP over the weekend.
