CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners on Tuesday voted to adopt the county’s final 2024 budget with no tax increase.
The budget is balanced with overall revenues and expenditures both totaling $41,697,089.09. The general fund totals $25,166,881.20.
The final budget is posted online for public viewing under the commissioners’ tab on the county’s Web site.
In other business, the commissioners:
- approved an agreement with PennDOT for electronic access to PennDOT Systems.
- approved an application to encumber Liquid Fuel funds for repairs to the Bloomington Avenue Bridge.
- approved an agreement with CenClear Child Services for the Strengthening Partnerships and Reaching Communities program.
- approved the certification of county funds for the Farmland Preservation Program.
- proclaimed January as National Mentoring Month at the request of Mary Beth Geppert, youth mentoring coordinator/Children’s Aid Society.
- approved the personnel report consisting of two new hires, one employee transfer and two employee separations/retirements.
- approved the minutes of the Dec. 12 board meeting as presented by the chief clerk.
- approved the bills as presented by the Controller’s office.
- announced the county will hold its re-organizational meetings Jan. 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the commissioners’ conference room.
