Two Facing Charges for Robbing and Assaulting Man Invited to Their Home

HOUTZDALE – Two Brisbin residents are facing robbery charges for assaulting a Woodland man invited to their home.

Charges of robbery, conspiracy/robbery, aggravated assault and conspiracy/aggravated assault, all felonies as well as misdemeanor conspiracy/simple assault were filed Tuesday at District Judge James Glass’s office against Kacy Rae Figart, 31, and Cody Lynn Luzier, 37. Luzier is also charged with misdemeanor strangulation.

Luzier is being held in the county jail in lieu of $100,000 bail and Figart with $50,000 bail. Their preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 29 during centralized court at the jail.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Monday the victim contacted Figart asking about the two hanging out. She invited him to her home to visit with her and another female friend.

“Kacy wanted the victim to bring drugs to share and offered sexual favors in return,” it says in the criminal complaint.

The victim arrived at the home around 2:00 a.m. on Nov. 20. They were in the living room for a while before Figart asked him to go back to the bedroom to look at her water bong.

As he walked back toward the bedroom, he was reportedly attacked by Luzier who struck him in the head multiple times with a metal object.

The victim told authorities he fell to the floor and Luzier jumped on top of him. Luzier then began to choke him as he threatened to kill him, according to the criminal complaint.

Somehow the victim was able to get away from Luzier and leave the residence. But Luzier followed him to his car and shut the driver’s side door on his left leg two or three times. As the victim drove the vehicle forward, he struck the house’s porch before driving away.

He sought treatment at Penn Highlands Clearfield, according to the police report.

They allegedly took $415 and a Bluetooth speaker from the man.
