CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Regional police conducted a warrant service Nov. 5 on Bridge Street in Clearfield Borough.
According to a department-issued news release, the incident occurred around 12:04 a.m. The male driver was unable to provide identification and gave a fake name.
He claimed to be from Texas, and to have just moved to Clearfield; however, further investigation discovered the male was 35-year-old Anthony Turner of Oklahoma.
Police also discovered Turner had an active warrant for rape of child in Oklahoma, which was confirmed. He was arrested and housed in county jail to await extradition.
