CLEARFIELD – Life Line Pregnancy and Infant Services, located at 416 Arnold Ave., Clearfield, celebrated its next step—a building expansion—with a groundbreaking on Wednesday, Aug. 9.

Life Line is a pro-life branch ministry of Anawim Ministries, formerly Young People Who Care, a private, non-profit, Christian organization.

Life Line offers free assistance to expectant women, and anyone caring for children under the age of 2.

There is no age, income, gender or residential guidelines—”just an expressed need for services.”

This expansion will give Life Line the opportunity to better service its local community. Last year, it provided services to 527 families and this year it’s on track to serve over 1,000 families.

The groundbreaking was well-attended by local dignitaries, including two Clearfield County Commissions, multiple Clearfield Borough officials and State Rep. Dallas Kephart.

In December of 2022, Life Line was blessed with grant funding to allow for the hiring of an additional full-time counselor.

At that time, it was also determined that Life Line needed more space, as its existing building lacks an appropriate confidential area to meet with clients.

Current plans are for a 36′ x 40′ addition to be constructed to the existing building, which will provide private counseling offices.

It will also include a conference room with a full kitchen, handicap accessible bathroom and a child play area that will allow Life Line to expand its services into educational programs.
