PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Authorities are searching for an area man who allegedly failed to appear for a jail sentence.
According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, troopers were contacted by the Jefferson County Jail on Tuesday, July 11, reporting that Donald Frantz failed to appear for his weekend jail sentence from a prior DUI on July 7.
Police say Frantz was determined to be at a resident on South Brady Street in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.
Frantz was seen and fled into a nearby wooded area, police said.
The area was canvassed for several hours by PSP troopers, a drone, and the aviation unit.
The search yielded negative results.
According to police, Frantz was last seen wearing a red shirt and tan pants, heading towards Sound Highland Street.
Charges were field through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock’s office.
