CLEARFIELD COUNTY – Several areas across the county continue to deal with the aftermath of Saturday’s high wind event.
According to a press release issued Sunday by Clearfield County 911, several residents remain without power because of the storm and the following shelter locations are now open.
Bigler Township and surrounding areas – Madera Fire Dept. – 2720 Main St, Madera. If arriving before 8:00 p.m., drive to the rear of the building and enter through the rear entrance door. After 8 p.m., those seeking shelter can enter the firehall from the front entrance facing the road.
Sandy Township – Treasure Lake Church – 1427 Bay Rd.
Morris & Graham Townships – Gethsemane United Methodist Church – 369 Allport Cut-off, Allport. – Gym at bottom of the church is open as a shelter while a play is going on. After play the shelter will be moved upstairs.
Curwensville – Curwensville Alliance Church – 725 Susquehanna Ave.
Coalport/Irvona – Coalport Firehall, 946 Water St, Coalport is open as a warming shelter (cannot sustain overnight). Overnight accommodations are at the Madera Firehall.
