CLEARFIELD – The staff and volunteers at the Presbyterian Church of Clearfield, located at 119 N. Second St., in downtown Clearfield, invite community members to upcoming Holy Week and Easter events and worship opportunities.
On Sunday, April 2, Palm Sunday will be celebrated with worship at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. During the 10:30 a.m. service, the choir will be present a mini-cantata with instrumentalists from the Clearfield Youth Orchestra.
Also, during the 10:30 a.m. service, children under 12 years of age are invited to an Easter party.
During the afternoon of April 2, members of the Presbyterian Youth Group will deliver Easter baskets to church members in local nursing homes. Then, at 7 p.m., the Clearfield Youth Orchestra will present a concert in the sanctuary.
On Thursday, April 6, Maundy Thursday will be celebrated with a free meal in Westminster Hall at 6 p.m. followed by worship in the chapel at 7 p.m.
On Friday, April 7, a community Good Friday service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church beginning at 12 p.m.
On Sunday, April 9, Easter will be celebrated with a 7 a.m. sunrise service, breakfast at 8 a.m., Sunday School at 9 a.m., and traditional worship at 10:30 a.m.
