DUBOIS – DuBois City Council has awarded a pair of project bids that were previously tabled.
More specifically, the East DuBois Avenue Sidewalk Project was awarded to Dave Doman Excavating Inc., in the amount of $1,183,495.
“We have wanted to address this for the last 15 years,” said City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio. It was originally projected that the project would cost $750,000 – $800,000 before recent inflation.
Council member Shannon Gabriel then asked how increased costs will affect another project at the top of Liberty Boulevard.
Plans originally included landscaping, a pavilion and waterfall. Suplizio indicated that the pavilion will be eliminated from the project plans.
Dave Roman Excavating also won the bid for work on Heindl Field’s outfield bleachers for $529,254.
