State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of retail theft Feb. 14 on Walton Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a female allegedly put a coloring book valued at $5 inside a backpack, then paid for two items but not the coloring book. She left the store following her transaction and contact was made with her outside.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a reported hit-and-run crash Feb. 10 on private property in the 100-block of Clark Street. According to police, an unknown male driver struck a shed before fleeing in a red Honda. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 814-765-1647/48.
- Police reported a drug violation and retail theft occurred Feb. 12 at Goodwill at Clearfield Square. According to police, the female suspect identified as 49-year-old Paula Shomo of Clearfield was detained and determined to be on probation in Clearfield County. Upon investigation, it was found Shomo was allegedly taking price tags from the store’s dumpster and changing price tags in the store, depriving the store the full price of the items. Shomo was placed under arrest, at which point police say she was found in possession of oxycodone, crystal methamphetamine and buprenorphine. She was lodged in county jail on a probation violation and charges were filed through the district court.
