CURWENSVILLE — The Golden Tide wrestling team returned to the mat for the first time in nine days on Thursday night and were handed a 48-21 loss to the visiting Brookville Raiders.
The Tide dropped to 8-3 on the season, while the Raiders upped their record to 13-2.
The Tide only gave up two forfeits, while receiving one and picked up two falls and a regular decision amongst the 10 contested bouts.
At 106 Damian Brady (12-3) and Zach Shaffer (7-6) at 145 had the Tide falls. Logan Aughenbaugh (8-2) had a 6-3 win at 152 and Jake Carfley (9-1) picked up the forfeit at 120.
The Tide will be back in action this weekend, participating in the 13th Annual Bison Duals at Clearfield High School. Their first match is scheduled for 9:45 am against Union City, which is 3-9 thus far this year.
