Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to an East Market Street apartment for a report of a neighbor destroying holiday decorations. Upon arrival, police found no evidence of decorations being tampered with; the caller refused to speak with officers on-scene.
- Police conducted a welfare check on a North Fourth Street female who had not been to work recently. Police found the female to be safe.
- Police received a report of a shoplifter at J.G. Food Warehouse. Upon arrival, police located the female and seized the stolen items. The female will be receiving a citation for retail theft.
- Police responded to an activated alarm at a business on Bigler Avenue. Upon arrival, it was found that the building was secure and that it was a false alarm.
- Police responded to a vehicle-versus-deer accident on state Route 879 near Spruce Street. According to the report, one vehicle became disabled after striking a deer and was towed from the scene.
- Police were dispatched to Sheetz where a male had reportedly overdosed in the men’s restroom. Upon arrival, an unresponsive male was found slumped over the toilet and surrounded by a large amount of vomit. The male was transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield.
- Police responded to a residence on East Locust Street for a psychological emergency. Upon arrival, one male was placed into custody and transported to Penn Highlands on mental health warrant.
- Police served numerous traffic warrants on individuals.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a reported DUI crash Nov. 13 in the area of West Front and Fulton streets, Clearfield. According to police, the driver of a Ford truck ran a red light and struck a Jeep Cherokee. No injuries were reported, but both vehicles were towed from the scene. The driver displayed multiple signs of being under the influence of alcohol, police say, and was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield for a legal blood draw. He was later released to a responsible party and charges are currently pending.
- Police reported a drug-related DUI Nov. 13 on Washington Avenue, Hyde. According to police, a call was received about a vehicle stopped in the roadway with the driver slumped over the steering wheel. An off-duty Curwensville Borough officer arrived on-scene and assisted by waking the driver and putting the vehicle in park. The driver was allegedly found to be in possession of and to have consumed heroin. He was taken into custody and put in county jail on a probation violation with charges pending at this time.
- Police reported a DUI/drug violation Nov. 12 in the area of Mapes Avenue and Good Street, Clearfield. During a traffic stop, contact was made with a 35-year-old New Millport woman who was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Following field sobriety testing, police say she was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance; she refused a legal blood draw and was released to a sober person. Charges were filed through the district court.
Curwensville Borough
- Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the Curwensville Commons. Those involved were advised to cease their actions.
- Police received a report of a physical domestic in progress at the Curwensville Commons. However, upon arrival, it was determined to have been only verbal in nature.
- Police responded to a reported medical emergency at the Curwensville School.
- Police responded to a reported disturbance at the Curwensville Commons. As a result, police transported one person to Penn Highlands Clearfield on a mental health warrant.
- Police responded to a Sunset Lane residence for a landlord-tenant dispute. The incident was determined to be civil in nature.
- Police responded to a reported mental health emergency at the Curwensville School.
- Police received a report of criminal mischief at a Grandview Avenue residence. Upon arrival, it was found the damage was accidental and would be handled between the parties involved.
- Clearfield County sheriff deputies were assisted with a warrant service where a male individual fled on foot; a female individual was taken into custody. A search ensued for the male but was unsuccessful.
