Lawrence Twp.

Police were called to the Clearfield Co. Jail for a report of an inmate in possession of contraband.  Upon investigation, Molly Ann Markievich, 36, of DuBois was found to be in possession of heroin.  Criminal charges have been filed.

Police conducted a traffic stop on River Rd. for an equipment violation.  Through the course of the investigation a consent to search was obtained and several articles of drug paraphernalia were found.  Charges have been filed against Justin Martell, 27 of Hyde.

State police are investigating an incident of identity theft.  The victim reported that she received unemployment benefits that were not applied for.

State police responded to a crash on Shiloh Rd. in Bradford Twp. on May 27.  The operator of a Suzuki 110CC left the roadway and crashed.  The operator was life-flighted to UPMC Altoona for suspected serious injuries. 

State police conducted a traffic stop on the Kylertown-Drifting Highway.  The operator, Derek Gummo, 29, of Morrsidale was  found to be in possession of marijuana.  Charges have been filed.

State police are investigating a report of fraud in Beccaria Twp.  The victim reported that an unknown person, posing as a friend on facebook, had contacted her about a great loan offer.  The victim engaged in conversation with the person through messenger.  The unknown person convinced the victim to contact another person to apply for a loan.  The victim was subsequently scammed out of $7,000.  Police advise that scammer will clone a friends facebook profile and then contact you  posing as your friend.  Do not engage in any money-related manner on facebook or facebook messenger.

Daniel McDiffitt, 31, and Heather Harris, 36, both of Grampian were found to be in possession of marijuana, meth, and drug paraphernalia.  Charges have been filed.

On May 30, state police responded to a disabled motorists.  The operator was found to be under the influence of drugs.  Charges are pending.

State police conducted a traffic stop in Houtzdale Borough. A consent to search the vehicle was obtained and various drug paraphernalia was found.  Charges to be filed.

State police conducted a traffic stop on the Lumber City Hwy. in Pike Twp. for a summary traffic violation.  The operator of the vehicle, Chyenne Knisely, 18, of DuBois was found to be under the influence of alcohol.  Charges have been filed.
