The horrific account of a 1995 cross-state killing spree, which began in Clearfield County, will be given on the popular national television show, Killer Couples.

The show airs at 8 p.m. tonight on the Oxygen Network. It will tell the crime story of then 23-year-old Mark N. Spotz along with his teenage girlfriend and accomplice, Christina Noland.

Viewers will watch as “a horrific killing spree leads Pennsylvania investigators on the hunt for two young lovers willing to do whatever it takes to evade the law.”

According to published media reports on the case, Spotz executed three women throughout central Pennsylvania, while on the run after shooting and killing his brother, Dustin, on Jan. 31, 1995, in their mother’s Clearfield County home.

All three women were killed during car-jackings: Penny Gunnet of New Salem, June R. Ohlinger of Schuylkill County and Betty Amstutz of Cumberland County.

Noland later turned on her lover, testifying against Spotz at trial. He was convicted and sentenced to death in April of 1996 for his killing of Gunnet, and also received death sentences for his killings of Ohlinger and Amstutz
