Police responded to the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop for a report of a male beating a small child. Officers spoke with multiple witnesses that described the male dragging his 3 year old step child into the bathroom and spanking him hard enough for it to be heard throughout the building. Charges are pending.
Police conducted a traffic stop at the BP Cogo’s Gas Station for a suspended driver’s license. The driver was found to be under the influence of controlled substances and was in possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and numerous drug paraphernalia. Charges are to be filed pending lab results.
Police were traveling on SR 879 when they observed a male walking and screaming into his phone. Contact was made with Darren R. Summers, 40, of Clearfield who was visibly under the influence of Methamphetamine and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges have been filed.
Police responded to a Turnpike Ave. residence for a 3 year old boy who was walking on the roadway unattended. Officers learned that the child had been missing for approximately 30 minutes before anyone noticed that he was missing. Clearfield County Children and Youth Services assisted officers at the scene. Charges are pending.
Police were dispatched to the WalMart Supercenter for a report of a male passed out in a vehicle. Upon making contact with the operator, Kenneth Leigey Jr., 30 of Morrisdale, police observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search of the vehicle revealed Heroin and other articles of paraphernalia. Charges have been filed and Leigey was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
