A female contacted police and stated that she was being harassed by another female via text messaging. The suspect was contacted and informed not to contact the other female.
Police were dispatched to the river walk for juveniles riding their bikes and skateboarding.
Police were dispatched to Sheetz for a female passed out at an indoor dining table. Upon arrival, it was found that the female was manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance. Clearfield EMS was summoned to the scene and the female was transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield for treatment. The female was cited for public drunkenness.
Police were dispatched to Buck’s Pizza for an incident of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was found that a female showed up for work but was fired the previous day. The ex-employee agreed to leave and was informed she no longer works at the business.
Police were dispatched to a residence on Hook St. for two females arguing loudly with one another. Both females were warned for their actions.
Police were dispatched to a residence on the 600 block of Dorey St. for a poisoning. Upon arrival, it was found that the mother of a two month old infant had a “kitchen accident,” which resulted in the mother accidentally mixing the infant’s formula with 80 proof vodka. The infant was transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield for treatment by Clearfield EMS. The mother has been charged with felony endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, furnishing alcohol to minors, and corruption of minors.
Sandy Twp.
Officers received a report of kids knocking on doors in the area of E. Maloney Rd. The kids were gone upon officer’s arrival.
A 22 year old Clearfield man reported that as he was driving a car he had just bought off of the dealers lot the check engine light came on and when he went back to rectify the situation the sales person became aggressive and intimidating. Investigation continues.
Officers were called to a Hanes Dr. residence for a 12 year old boy who was smashing up an apartment. Upon arrival officers assisted with the situation without incident.
A Sgt. Reed Rd. resident reported there were possibly three vehicles in a field behind her house doing donuts. The vehicles were gone upon officers arrival.
Officers were advised of a reckless driver in the area of Dairy Queen. DuBois City Police were able to locate the vehicle and 39 year old driver. Officers handled the situation without incident.
A Circle Road woman reported receiving harassing messages via Snap Chat from a man she did not know but had she had added to her account the week prior. The woman was able to block him from the app.
A S. Brady Street resident reported an unknown vehicle was parked in her driveway and no one was around. Upon investigation officers were able to locate the owner of the vehicle who reported they thought they had parked in a friend’s driveway but had actually parked in the wrong place. The situation was handled without incident.
A resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked along Lincoln Drive. Upon investigation found the driver, a 56 year old DuBois man who appeared to be having a medical emergency. He was transported to Penn Highlands by EMS for treatment.
A 39 year old DuBois woman reported that while her vehicle was parked in the DuBois Mall parking lot an unknown vehicle hit it causing minor damage. A witness was able to provide a registration for the offending vehicle and officers handled the situation without incident.
Lawrence Twp.
Police conducted a traffic stop on SR 879 near Sheetz for an equipment violation. Through the investigation it was determined that the driver, Clayton McGonigal, 24 of Tyrone, was under the influence of a controlled substance. During a search of the vehicle a controlled substance was found as well as numerous drug paraphernalia. Charges have been filed.
PSP Clearfield
State police investigated a Facebook scam in Mahaffey Borough. The victim was scammed out of Google Play gift cards valued at $1000.
State police arrested Mallory Bennett, 26, of Hawk Run for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
State police conducted a traffic stop on Tyrone Pike in Beccaria Twp. The driver, a 29 year old Huntington male, was found to be under the influence. Charges are pending blood results.
State police investigated a crash on I-80 in Bradford Twp. The operator, a 39 year old male, was found to have an arrest warrant out of Westmoreland County. He was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
State police engaged in a pursuit along the Rockton Mountain Hwy. in Lawrence Twp. The pursuit continued through Penfield towards Brockway until it was terminated for safety reason. The driver of the vehicle was later identified as Jace Peters, 24, of Clearfield. Charges of fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment and numerous traffic violations have been filed.
State police responded to a crash on the Rockton Mountain Hwy. The driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado struck the rear end of another vehicle after it slowed down for a vehicle turning off the roadway. Both vehicle received damage. A passenger was transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield for suspected minor injury.
State police investigated a disturbance on Glendale Ave. in Morris Twp. Justin R. Haney, 38, of Morrisdale attempted to open doors of multiple homes. Charges have been filed.
State police responded to a report of harassment on Baxter St. in Brisbin Borough. Charges have been filed in the incident.
State police investigated an incident of harassment on the Morrisdale-Allport Hwy. in Morris Twp. A 32 year old male from East Freedom, pushed a female victim during an argument. Charges have been filed.
State police conducted a traffic stop on Curtin St. in Osceola Borough. The driver, a 63 year old male was found to be under the influence. Charges are pending blood results.
State police responded to a disturbance on Chestnut Grove Hwy. in Penn Twp. A 46 year old male from DuBois forced his way into the victims residence. Despite the victim repeatedly asking the man to leave he remained until police arrived. The male was arrested for criminal trespass and lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
