Businesses Encouraged to Use Free PA CareerLink® Services to Find Qualified Workers for Job Openings

HARRISBURG – Employers looking to hire can take advantage of free virtual and limited in-person services at PA CareerLink®, to find potential employees who are perfect matches for job openings, Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) Acting Secretary Jennifer Berrier said Monday.

“Recruiting talented, skilled workers does not need to cost employers a dime thanks to the free services offered by PA CareerLink® locations across the state,” said Berrier.

“Our PA CareerLink® offices are tapped into the local labor force, helping businesses with strategies that work to attract quality candidates. Whether an employer is looking for one worker or hundreds of new staff members, PA CareerLink® professionals are ready to assist at every step.”

PA CareerLink® offices provide employers help with finding and training employees based on the local economy at 60 sites state-wide. All services through PA CareerLink® are provided at no cost, including posting job opportunities that are searchable to Pennsylvanians looking for work and searching for candidates that are looking for work through PA CareerLink®. To help build a strong candidate pool in every industry – especially those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic – the Bureau of Workforce Partnership & Operations, PA CareerLink® staff and local workforce development boards are coordinating to conduct an outreach campaign via mail, e-mail and phone to contact dislocated workers across Pennsylvania who are in need of reemployment services.

Pennsylvania jobseekers are encouraged to use free the PA CareerLink® services available to them, which include resume help, searching vetted job opportunities, setting new job alerts and finding training opportunities.
