Goodrow Faces Charges Following Dollar Store Incident

CLEARFIELD – Ronald A. Goodrow, 29, of Woodland is facing charges of misdemeanor resisting arrest and disorderly conduct as well as summary harassment.

According to Lawrence Township police, officers responded to a reported assault around 6 p.m. Tuesday night in the area of the Dollar General Store at the Clearfield Mall.

The victim told Clearfield County Control that Goodrow had left the scene, but when he returned following officers’ arrival, he refused to speak with them. He started to enter the mall after being ordered to stop and also reportedly resisted officers.

Upon further investigation, police say it was learned the victim and Goodrow, a cashier, had engaged in an altercation regarding a sale at the store.

Goodrow reportedly followed her out of the store, and then started yelling at and “chest bumping” her. When she pulled out her phone to record the incident, police say Goodrow took it, saying he’d smash it.

Goodrow smacked the phone into the victim’s chest before fleeing the scene, according to the report.

Goodrow was arraigned with his bail being set at $20,000 unsecured. He’s scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 14 during centralized court.
