Police received a report of multiple vehicle break-ins in the Washington Ave/Hyde area. The public is reminded to secure all valuables, remove any firearms and lock vehicles overnight due to the increase in crime. Suspects may be looking for cash, electronics and firearms. Any suspicious activity during late night hours should be reported to 911.
Police were dispatched to a Hyde residence for an unknown male rummaging through the victim’s vehicle. The victim confronted the male and identified him as Sonny J. Edwards, 33, of Clearfield. Upon police arrival Edwards fled on foot. Charges have been filed.
