STATE COLLEGE – Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator@StateCollege, a partnership with the Invent Penn State initiative, is again offering local entrepreneurs, grad-students, professors and university researchers its virtual 10-Week Business Startup Boot Camp.
You’ll expand your network, engage with other successful entrepreneurs, discuss your business model with experts and develop a pitch that could win you up to $10,000.
You can apply now by visiting the Web site: https://benfranklin.psu.edu/bf/TechCel/Select?ti=a005w00000ha7iDAAQ.
The weekly ZOOM sessions will be on Tuesdays, March 23, 2021 – June 2, 2021, from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. One-hour online mentoring/coaching sessions will also be provided each week.
This is a no-cost opportunity. Assistance with legal, accounting or customer discovery costs will be provided, and you’ll have the chance to pitch to a panel of local judges at the completion of the course.
In addition, a “People’s Choice Award” of $1,000 will also be awarded at graduation. Friends, family and co-workers of the participants will be invited to join the Zoom audience to vote for their favorite presentation.
Business mentoring from Ben Franklin’s Transformation Business Services Network and Penn State’s Small Business Development Center staff will also be available.
You’ll come away from this experience with a working business model, networking contacts and the confidence that comes from knowing if it’s the right time to start developing your innovation.
The deadline for applications is March 10, 2021.
