Pennsylvania Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau Announces Hometown Proud Photo Contest

BROOKVILLE – The Pennsylvania Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce its new Hometown Proud Photo Contest that runs March through May.

Finalists’ photos will be posted online in June with the four entries receiving the most votes, winning the following cash prizes: first place, $100; second place, $75; third place, $50; and fourth place, $25.

To enter, complete the entry form and upload your photos at VisitPAGO.com/contest. The only requirements are that the photo meet the Hometown Proud photo contest theme and must be taken in Jefferson, Elk, Clarion, Forest or Cameron counties.

“People in the region are very proud of their local communities. This contest gives them a chance to show off that pride via photos and maybe win some cash,” John Straitiff, executive director Pennsylvania Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau.

New Instagram Travel Story Contest

To enter, simply post a story about a specific adventure or activity occurring within Pennsylvania’s Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau (PAGO) five-county coverage area and tag your story on its page with #visitPAGO and follow the visitPAGO page on Instagram.

The Spring Travel Story window is open from now through May 31. The winning entry will receive a $250 lodging voucher that is valid at all participating PAGO lodging members.

“Instagram continues to grow in popularity and our new Travel Story Contest is a great way for us to reach out to a different audience than we reach with Facebook and traditional media,” said Straitiff.
