CLEARFIELD – Students in the A.M. Masonry and Construction Program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) recently finished their unit on Residential Foundations by constructing a 28′ X 16′ crawl space foundation.

Students learned many different skills during the unit which include laying out and squaring the foundation, using a laser transit, building corner and jamb leads, laying block to the line, installing foundation vents and parging the outside of the foundation.

Students and faculty at CCCTC are joining others across the nation during the month of February to celebrate “National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month.”

CTE Month provides programs across the country an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE make students college-and career-ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand occupation fields.
