DUBOIS – The Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce is extending its congratulations to Merle Norman and Stoltz Family Dealerships for being chamber business award winners.
This year, Merle Norman received the chamber’s Small Business of the Year Award and Stoltz Family Dealerships its Community Cup Award.
Linda Crandall has owned and operated the Merle Norman Boutique in downtown DuBois since 1994. She purchased the business from the Sheesley family under which it began in the 1970’s.
Crandall has grown the business and adapted to changes in the beauty industry over the years. She has also given back to her community every time she gets the chance.
The Stoltz family has owned and operated car dealerships for three generations. Though times have changed and so has their business, they have always been part of community stability.
Both businesses will be presented with their awards at a virtual Chamber event in mid-March.
The Chamber said though the pandemic has postponed its annual business bash, it hopes to have a “Celebrate Business” event at Lakeview Lodge on July 10.
The outdoor event will also include entertainment at the gazebo by the lake later that evening. The Chamber’s events committee is currently planning the event, and will release details at a later date.
