Police are investigating a report of a retail theft at Goodwill. A female was seen on surveillance removing a jacket from the store without paying. The investigation continues.
Police received a report of a wanted female in the area of Washington Ave. Upon arrival they took the female into custody and discovered that she was in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. She was transported to Penn Highland for medical treatment due to her highly intoxicated state. Charges are pending.
Police are investigating an incident of intimidation of a witness and obstruction in a child abuse case. Justin James Centra, 40, was previously arrested with sexually assaulting two minor females. He and his mother, Sherri Renee Centra, 63, had numerous conversations, recorded via the Clearfield Co. Jail, regarding the charges against Justin Centra. During those conversations, one juvenile victim could be heard speaking with Justin Centra, with the knowledge and consent of Sherri Centra. Charges of intimidation of a victim or witness, intimidation of a victim or witness in a child abuse case and obstruction of a child abuse case have been filed against both Justin and Sherri Centra.
Police were dispatched to the Comfort Inn for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a physical altercation had occurred between Stephanie Mando, 42, of Olanta and Daniel Wetzel, 36, of Mahaffey. Through the course of the investigation, it was found that both individuals provided false names to law enforcement dur to having numerous warrants. Officers also located drug paraphernalia. Both individuals have been charged with providing false identification to law enforcement, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and harassment.

Police received a call regarding a possible kidnapping incident which was later identified as a mental health incident.

Police responded to the Dollar General for a report of a theft of an IPad. The investigation continues.
Police received a complaint of harassment by communication. It was later found that the incident was civil in nature.
Police received a complaint of suspicious activity on a Locust St. residence. Upon investigation, it was determined that the female that reported the activity was under the influence and provided false information for officers.
Police responded to an overdose at Snappy’s. The female was taken into custody for being under the influence.
Police responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of State St. and Ridge Ave. Minor injuries were reported.
