Local Daycare Center Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon-Cutting

CLEARFIELD – A local daycare center celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting event Jan. 30 alongside the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC).

Teeny Treasures Childcare LLC is locally-owned and operated by Dana and Dennis McCahan. It’s located at the former Destini’s Daycare, Clearfield, and is under new management and staffing.

Jean Russell Maines will serve as director and Joyce Stubbs as the assistant director, both of whom have worked in childcare for 30-plus years.

Maines and Stubbs are well-educated on state regulations and also have degrees in early childhood development.

They promise to offer a safe, nurturing environment with the caring and knowledgeable staff they have in place. The center will offer care for children from birth to 13 years.

Teeny Treasures Childcare will accept a subsidy and meals are included.  There will also be a bus stop for school children, and a program available when school is not in session.  

Staff will abide by all COVID-19 health and safety measures. Childcare will be available from 5:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Teeny Treasures Childcare is located at 14399 Clearfield Shawville Hwy., Clearfield, and tours are currently available to prospective clients.
