PSP Clearfield
State police initiated a traffic stop on Hilltop Rd. in Boggs Twp. upon investigation it was discovered that the operator, a 24 year old Houtzdale male, was under suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending toxicology reports.
State police are investigating a hit and run on Cooper Ave. in Cooper Twp. The driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado crashed into a residence and fled the scene on foot. The investigation continues.
State police received a call from a 61 year old Irvona woman stating she was scammed out of $2500 from an unknown individual who claimed to be from Amazon. The investigation continues.
State police encountered three Houtzdale males passed out in a vehicle parked at the Bigler Minit Mart. Contact was made and a consent search revealed a small amount of suspected heroin and various drug paraphernalia. Charges to be filed.
State police investigated a domestic dispute on Jerry Run Rd. in Goshen Twp. Charges are to be filed.
State police investigated a firearms violation where a known Coalport man attempted to purchase a gun knowing that he is prohibited from owning or possessing. The investigation continues.
State police responded to a single vehicle crash on I-180. The driver of a 2019 Ram 1500 attempted to pass a tractor trailer when the driver of the tractor trailer crossed the middle line causing the operator of the Ram to travel off the roadway and collide with an embankment. Then vehicle then overturned onto it’s side. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a vehicle accident on Joseph Rd. A driver was attempting to back out of a driveway and struck a USPS mail delivery truck.
Police were called to WalMart for a retail theft. Upon arrival it was discovered that a 47 year old Clearfield man removed several items totaling $400 over the last year. The investigation continues.

Police responded to Nichols St. for a report of two males that were causing a disturbance. One of the males was to be intoxicated. They left prior to police arriving on scene.
Police are investigating an incident of Fraud where someone attempted to use the victim’s information to sign up for unemployment.
Police responded to Nichols St for a barking dog complaint. Police arrived and found the dog was taken inside.
Police responded to N. 3rd St. for a 911 hang up that came from a dead cell phone. Police checked the area and were unable to locate in need of services.
Police checked the area of Bigler Ave. for a vehicle that was to be operating in a reckless manner. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
Police assisted EMS with a medical emergency along S. 3rd St.
Police had a driver’s license turned into them. Police were able to return the license to the owner.
Police responded to Turnpike Ave. for a noise complaint. Police arrived but were unable to locate any excessive noise.
Police responded to a suspicious person complaint along W. 2nd Ave. Police were unable to locate anything suspicious.
