Lawrence Twp.

Police responded to Point Spring and Drive Shaft Rds. for a report of an attempted theft of a motor vehicle.  Upon investigation police encountered multiple vehicles that had been broken into and looted.  Officers were ultimately able to locate the offender, Logan Darby, 19, of Orange, TX along with a stolen vehicle out of TX.  Darby was taken into custody and housed in the Clearfield County Jail.  Charges have been filed.

State police responded to Snappy’s in Houtzdale for a welfare check.  Upon arrival they found a 51 year old Houtzdale male in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle.  The vehicle’s front end was up over the parking lot curb.  Upon making contact with the male it was determined that he was under the influence of an unknown drug.  He was transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield for a legal blood draw.  Charges are pending lab results.

Police responded to a call of a theft on Whiteside Dr. in Woodward Twp.  The victim stated that after sitting in the woods for approximately 5 years, a homemade trailer and wood stove were removed from the area.  The investigation continues.

Police responded to a vehicle crash on Lee Run Rd. in Penn Twp.  The driver of a 2009 Subaru Forester was traveling too fast for road conditions and lost control striking an unoccupied vehicle.  No injuries were reported.
