CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners on Tuesday unanimously approved a balanced final budget without a tax increase for the upcoming fiscal year.
The general fund budget calls for revenues and expenditures totaling $23,067,538 while the overall budget calls for revenues and expenditures totaling $36,074,843.
The final adopted budget is available for public view in PDF format on the Clearfield County Government Web site.
In other business, the commissioners:
- approved an agreement with Clearly Ahead Development in the amount of $22,900 for the administration of the first round of small business CARES Act grants.
- approved tentative agreements with the Teamsters and CCAPE unions.
- approved the 2021 meeting schedule. Workshop meetings will be held the first Tuesday of the month and regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. All meetings will be held at 10 a.m. in the commissioners’ conference room at the county’s administrative office building.
- announced the county is seeking quotes on a Guaranteed Energy Savings contract for the Clearfield County Jail.
- renewed an agreement to participate in the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) Unemployment Compensation Trust Program.
- approved an agreement with Eastern Elevator for an air filtration unit in the Clearfield County Courthouse annex building. It passed 2-1 with Commissioner John A. Sobel casting the opposing vote.
- Approved three new hires, two employee separations/retirements and two employee leaves of absence.
- approved the bills as presented by the Controller’s office.
- approved the minutes of the Nov. 8 meeting as presented by the chief clerk.
