Monday evening the Clearfield Area School Board held a special meeting to approve the audit from Katherine Eckley, which was approved 7-0.
The board also reviewed a few items of business, including the resignation for retirement purposes of Dr. Susan Spaid, secondary guidance counselor, effective June 4, 2021.
Superintendent Terry Struble said Dr. Spaid will be missed by students and staff alike.
“Dr. Spaid has been an large part of our students’ final years at the junior/senior high school as they finish their high school careers and start their path beyond school,” he said.
“She has been instrumental in helping to build out our dual enrollment program and our Associate’s programs, giving many of our students a leg up in college and providing a path for families to save a large amount of money on college tuition throughout the years,” Struble noted.
“Most importantly, as with all of our staff, her dedication to our students and their well-being has been her priority over the years.”
