HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday confirmed a two-day total of 14,960 additional positive cases of COVID-19 state-wide.
More specifically, there were 6,330 additional cases reported on Monday and 8,630 additional cases reported on Sunday, bringing the state-wide total to 426,444.
According to the department’s Web site, Clearfield County has had 2,222 (+101) total cases since March and 22 deaths (+1) while 12,929 patients have tested negative for the virus. Of those cases, 1,783 are confirmed and 439 are probable.
There are 5,300 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19, state health officials say, and of that number, 1,107 patients are in the intensive care unit.
Most of the patients hospitalized are ages 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older. More data is available here.
The trend in the 14-day moving average of number of hospitalized patients per day has reportedly increased by nearly 4,000 since the end of September.
The state-wide percent positivity for the week of Nov. 27 – Dec. 3 is 14.4 percent. The most accurate daily data is available on the Web site, with archived data also available.
As of 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, there were 69 new deaths and as of 11:59 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6, there were 42 new deaths reported for a total of 11,373 Pennsylvania deaths attributed to COVID-19.

There are 22,791 individuals who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 642 individuals who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 40,011 resident cases of COVID-19, and 7,322 cases among employees, for a total of 47,333 at 1,341 distinct facilities in 66 counties.
Out of the total deaths, 6,952 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. A county breakdown can be found here.
It was also noted that approximately 15,592 of Pennsylvania’s total cases are among health care workers.
There are 2,943,283 individuals who have tested negative state-wide to date.
