PSP: Curwensville Man Crashes into Train While DUI

ANTIS TOWNSHIP – A Curwensville man was taken into custody for drunk driving after he crashed his vehicle into a train on Nov. 28 in Antis Township, Blair County.

Holidaysburg-based state police say Daniel Lindgren, 60, crashed his vehicle into the train at approximately 8:56 p.m. in the area of Tipton and Bell Tip roads.

On-scene, troopers observed a Buick Sedan on the railroad tracks 500 feet from the railroad crossing. It had impacted a Norfolk Southern train and sustained severe damage.

Lindgren was reportedly found in the grass near the railroad crossing after having been pulled from his vehicle by two witnesses.

Troopers were able to positively identify Lindgren as the driver, and found he was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.
