STATE COLLEGE – A new segment called Feel Good Friday’s will launch November 20 on the FOX 8 and ABC 23 stations. The segment highlights “feel good” stories that make news around the world.
The feature segment will air every Friday during FOX 8 News at Ten and 11pm during ABC 23 News Centre. The segment will also be available on both outlets’ Facebook pages and websites, abc23.com and fox8tv.com.
The idea to create the segment came from FOX 8 and ABC 23 Evening News Anchor, Jess Plue. Plue thought Feel Good Friday’s would provide some light and positivity in the current divided world. The beginning of each segment starts off with Plue encouraging the collaboration of happy news stories in hopes to end each week on a high note.
“This year has challenged all of us emotionally, mentally, and physically…I wanted to showcase the positivity and humanity going on throughout the county, in a small effort to show, that united we stand, even through such divisive times,” Plue said.
Cunningham Broadcasting Corporation’s WWCP FOX 8 and WATM ABC 23 are the FOX and ABC affiliates serving the Johnstown/Altoona/State College, Pennsylvania area.
