Inmate Charged in Alleged Assault of Corrections Officer at Clearfield Co. Jail

CLEARFIELD – An inmate is facing charges for allegedly assaulting and injuring a corrections officer Nov. 3 at the Clearfield County Jail.

According to Lawrence Township police, 51-year-old Robert Passmore Jr. of Olanta refused commands, as staff attempted to remove him from a block.

Passmore became defiant, causing a disturbance during which he was sprayed with O.C. spray. Afterwards, he swung a closed fist at staff, striking a CO in the face and causing injury.

Passmore is being charged with felony aggravated assault and related offenses through the office of Magisterial District Judge Mike Morris.
