Lawrence Twp.

Police were called to the intersection of SR 879 and Cresswood Dr. for a report of a hit and run accident.  It was reported that a blue tractor trailer with a white box trailer was observed fleeing the area after striking a parked car in a parking area.  The tractor trailer was later located at the Snappy’s in Falls Creek by the Sandy Twp. Police.  The PA State Police Motor Carrier Enforcement Team was called to scene and numerous violations were discovered rendering the truck out of service.  The driver was charged with hit and run and numerous related offenses and equipment violations.

Police received a call by the Clearfield Alliance Christian School reporting that a person was standing in a neighbors yard with a rifle while children were outside causing the school to go on lock down.  Upon investigation it was found that the neighbor placed a mannequin on the property dressed in military attire and holding a home-made fake rifle.  The fake rifle was removed from the scene and the defendant was charged with disorderly conduct.

Police are investigating an incident of a theft from a vehicle that occurred in the WalMart parking lot.  Officers reviewed surveillance where a license plate was obtained on a suspect. The investigation continues. 

PSP Clearfield

State police were called to Fairview Rd. in Decatur Twp. for a report of a known male trespassing on the property.  Charges are pending.

State police conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation.  It was determined that the male driver was under the influence of drugs and possessed a variety of drugs and paraphernalia.  Charges are pending toxicology results.

State police conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation.  Upon investigation it was determined that the driver, Alicia Horsey, 35, of Morrisdale was operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock that she is required to have.  Charges have been filed.
