Thursday, Sept. 17
The Incredible Journey:
11 a.m. – Beach House steps
It is that time of the year, when many creatures are on the move. Some will travel short distances while others may migrate many thousands of miles. But perhaps not for the reasons you may think. There are several strategies for surviving the winter months that wildlife employ. Learn more about the how and why of wildlife migration.
Friday, Sept. 18
Leave It to Beavers:
8 p.m. – Campground Amphitheater
A staple of North American wildlife, beavers have always played a role in the ecosystems in which they live. Watch as beavers are now “employed” to work at rehabilitating certain habitats. You may see these industrious rodents in a whole new light.
Saturday, Sept. 19
Owls:
4 p.m. – Beach House steps
Their adaptations for survival are incredible. Come learn all about these predators of the night and how they are able operate in the darkness with such success.
Is That Skunk?:
8 p.m. – Campground Amphitheater
It’s one smell that we probably all can identify. But what else do we know about skunks and how they are adapted to survive? Come learn more about this often-avoided resident of our backyards and forests.
Note to visitors attending educational and interpretive programs at the park: Program attendees are advised that they must wear face coverings, social distancing will be required during the program, and total attendance will be limited to 25. Your cooperation is appreciated.
