Clearfield Borough

On 8/12/2020 at approximately 07:50, the Clearfield Borough Police Department was dispatched to a residence on McBride Street for a burglary in progress.  A witness viewed a male, later identified as Robert Passmore Jr,  walk on to the front porch of the residence and force his way in through the locked front door.  Hospital security staff were notified of the incident and responded because the male had recently been discharged from Penn Highlands.  Security Staff found Passmore inside of the residence and were able to have Passmore exit and stand on the porch until police arrived.  Chief McGinnis, Assistant Chief Curry, Patrolmen Brahosky, Fritz and Hoover arrived on scene and placed Passmore in custody.  Passmore was charged by Patrolman Hoover for Felony burglary and Criminal Trespass, along with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and several summary offenses.  Passmore’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8/19/2020 at 8:30.  He is still currently housed in the Clearfield County Jail unable to post his $50,000 monetary bail.

Police were dispatched to the area of Nichols St and W Front St for a report of a fuel spill.  Police arrived on scene and observed fuel on the roadway around town.  Police are investigating the incident.

Police received information pertaining to a wanted male on E Market St.  Police arrived and took the male into custody.

Police responded to a report of a potentially suicidal male.  Police arrived on scene and deescalated the situation.  The male was assisted to the hospital for treatment.

While on patrol, police located 2 individuals unconscious in a vehicle.  Officers managed to wake the individuals up and found them to be intoxicated.  Drug paraphernalia was also found in the vehicle.  Police are investigating the incident.

LTPD requested assistance from this department in reference to a driver and passenger fleeing on foot from a vehicle stop.  Police searched the area and a suspect was taken into custody.

Police were requested by EMS to assist with gaining entrance to a residence.  Police arrived and gained entry to the residence.

Police responded to a disturbance at Sheetz involving a male being disorderly and yelling at employees.  Police arrived and the male was given a warning for his actions.

Police responded to a report of a fight involving 10 individuals on Park Ave Ext.  Police arrived on scene with negative results.

Lawrence Twp.

Police received a report of a suspicious male with no shirt or shoes in the area of Carbon Mine Rd.  It was reported that Dwayne Graham, 32, of Woodland had entered a residence and drank Gatorade from the victim’s kitchen.  Graham was then thrown out of the residence by the victim.  Upon police arrival it was determined that Graham was under the influence of methamphetamine and was taken into custody.  Charges of burglary, trespassing, theft and public drunkenness have been filed.

Police received a report of a phone scam in which a 71 year old female victim sent $91,000 to unknown actor(s) impersonating a law enforcement agency.  The victim was threatened to send the money or face charges.  The incident is still under investigation.  Police remind the public not to release personal information over the phone.

PSP Clearfield

State police are investigating a report of stolen prescription medication from an 83 year old Grampian man.  The investigation continues.

State police are investigating a report of stolen ATM cards and funds from a 73 year old Clearfield man.  The investigation continues.

State police responded to an ATV accident on Thorp Rd. in Greenwood Twp.  The operator lost control of the ATV causing the unit to roll over.  The operator sustained suspected serious injuries and life-flighted to UPMC Altoona.

State police conducted a traffic stop on a four wheeler on Walker Rd. in Bigler Twp.  It was discovered that the operator had been consuming alcoholic beverages prior to driving.  Charges are pending.

State police are investigating an incident of indecent assault.  A known male make inappropriate physical contact with a juvenile female.  The investigation is ongoing.

State police responded to a domestic dispute in Grampian Borough.  A 25 year old female punched a 55 year old female in the side of the head and mouth area, threw juice on her and fled the scene prior to police arrival.  Charges are pending.

Curwensville Borough

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Meadow and Filbert St.  The operator of a CDL training truck failed to negotiate a turn and struck a parked vehicle.  No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a complaint of an outside fire.  The property owner agreed to extinguish the fire.

Police responded to a report of a parking issue.  It was handled without incident.

Police received a complaint of ATV’s operating on Griffith and Bloomington Ave.  Police remind residents that it is illegal to operate these vehicles on the roadway.

Police assisted Lawrence Twp. police with a foot pursuit.
