CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area United Way recently accepted a donation of gently-used children’s books from Lyndsey Swisher of Clearfield and who’s also attending Gannon University.
The books will be distributed through the agency’s Reading Ripples Project to help area children and teens. “We sincerely thank Lyndsey for making a difference,” said Nancy Pinto, CAUW chief professional officer.
“Our 23 member agencies help people of all ages day-in and day-out in the communities we serve throughout eastern, southern and central Clearfield County.”
Pinto said that nearly 60 volunteers work tirelessly to help others through the agency’s various programs like Reading Ripples, Jeans for Teens, wish grants and other collections.
Anyone who would like to make a donation can via mail to Clearfield Area United Way, 18 N. Second St., P.O. Box 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830.
