Work Continues on River’s Landing Project

CLEARFIELD – Work is continuing on the $4-million River’s Landing Project in Clearfield Borough.

The project consists of the construction of a two-story, 11,500-square-foot multi-occupancy facility with up to three suites on the first floor, according to previously-published GANT News reports.

There will also be outdoor seating areas and the upper floor will consist of professional office space, incubation/coworking space and special event and training center capabilities.

Construction of an additional sidewalk to connect the Market Street Bridge to Lower Witmer Park will take place along the river’s edge at Market Square.

The Market Square parking lot will be expanded, and an additional lot to serve River’s Landing and Market Square will be created between Lower Witmer Park and the existing Market Square facility.

The project bid was awarded this past spring to Leonard S. Fiore Inc. of Altoona. Construction was originally slated to commence March 25 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Construction is expected to be completed in May of 2021, according to the previous report.
