CLEARFIELD – Local authorities have given an “all clear” after a suspicious package was located Monday morning at 207 E. Market St., across the street from the Clearfield County Courthouse. The courthouse and the immediate area have reopened to traffic.

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Courthouse and the immediate downtown area is shut down after a suspicious package was discovered outside of 207 E. Market St.
According to Clearfield Borough Police Chief Vincent McGinnis, police received the report of the package at approximately 7:15 a.m. Monday morning. He said the package is considered “suspicious in nature” due to its timing and the unrest throughout the United States.
Both vehicle and pedestrian traffic are shut down in the block surrounding the courthouse, and people should avoid this area. This morning’s session of Revocation Court is being held at the YMCA gymnasium.
