Clearfield YMCA Seeks Support Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

CLEARFIELD – Despite the uncertain times surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Clearfield YMCA is still here and will be once it’s over.

For more than 118 years, the YMCA has continuously evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of its community, according to Executive Director Don Herres.

“And today, our community is going through unprecedented challenges,” he said. “Though our doors may be closed, we are still working to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors.

“… That’s why we’re asking our members and the community – at large – to stay with us.”

Each year, Herres said the YMCA reaches people across the greater Clearfield community through programs that help everyone reach their full potential.

“Our work is essential to our community,” he said, “but we cannot continue this critical mission without support. So, if you are a YMCA member and are able, please consider continuing your membership with us.”

For individuals who aren’t current members, Herres asks them to please give consideration to a membership to support the local YMCA

“We are just as eager as everyone to reopen our doors,” Herres said, “and when that time comes, we know it will be an exciting day filled with celebration.”
