Timothy Garrett (Erie) harvested the heaviest coyote at 9 a.m. Feb. 21, the opening day of the hunt. It was a 51.15-pound male.
Daniel McDowell (Westmoreland) finished in second place with a 49.65-pound male that he killed at 10:50 a.m. Feb. 23.
And Mike Radjenovic (Greene) came in third place with a 49.3-pound male that he killed at 6:45 a.m. Feb. 21.
Michael Dructor (Lackawanna) harvested the heaviest female coyote at 7 a.m. Feb. 21. It was 44.75 pounds.
The association had 4,914 registered hunters with total prize monies of $49,140.
Fifty percent was divided among all hunters who harvested a coyote. The other $19,656 was divided up 50 percent, 30 percent and 20 percent to the top three place winners.
Garrett was awarded $9,828 for first place; McDowell, $5,896.80 for second place; and Radjenovic, $3,849.60 for third place.
Also, Dructor received $9,828 for weighing in the heaviest female. With a total of 219 coyotes brought in, prize money of $90 was awarded per dog.
