State police at Clearfield
- State police responded to a reported dog law violation Sunday on Windy Hill Road in Pike Township. According to state police, it was determined that the dog’s owner failed to keep the dog on their property. The owner was cited accordingly for the violation.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment Friday on the Viola Pike in Gulich Township. During a domestic, a Ramey couple allegedly had physical contact with each other. Both were charged through the district court.
- State police reported that a drug-related DUI occurred Feb. 15 in the area of River and Mount Joy roads in Lawrence Township. During a traffic stop, a 52-year-old Grampian man was allegedly found to be driving under the influence and in possession of a small amount of marijuana that was loaded inside a pipe. Charges are currently pending through the district court.
- State police received a report of a drug-related incident Feb. 16 at the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale. During the incident, a 35-year-old man from the state of Indiana was allegedly in possession of a small amount of marijuana while at visitation at the prison. Charges are currently pending through the district court.
- State police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a drug-related DUI on Sunday along Elizabeth Street in Houtzdale Borough. Upon investigation, troopers allegedly found seven grams of methamphetamine and 80 grams of marijuana inside a vehicle occupied by a Houtzdale couple. The driver was also found to be under the influence, state police say. Felony and misdemeanor charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Saturday on Faunce Road in Boggs Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a 100-pound propane tank that belonged to a Houtzdale man. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about criminal mischief that occurred on the Tyrone Pike in Jordan Township. On an unknown date, someone allegedly damaged a wheel speed sensor on the victim’s vehicle. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police reported a DUI occurred Saturday in the area of the Shawville – Frenchville Highway and Lecontes Mills Road in Girard Township. During a traffic stop, a 47-year-old Bradford, Pa. man was allegedly found to be driving under the influence. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment Thursday on Fourth Avenue in Curwensville Borough. During the incident, a Curwensville couple engaged in a verbal argument that allegedly turned physical in nature. Both were charged for the incident through the district court.
State police at Rockview
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Dec. 14, 2019 on Chestnut Street in Rush Township, Centre County. During the incident, someone allegedly took multiple items from a Winburne man’s residence. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police arrested Fred Hockenburry, 28, of Houtzdale for an alleged retail theft Friday at Hall’s Market in Snow Shoe. He was also found to have a warrant through the Centre County Sheriff’s Office, and was housed in the Centre County Correctional Facility.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment outside of a local establishment on Daisy Street. According to police, as the complainant entered her vehicle, another female walked up and started yelling at her. Then, she left the area.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run crash that occurred in a local business’ parking lot on Reed Street. According to police, there was a small dent and large scratch on the passenger’s side door area of the complainant’s truck. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police responded to a reported structure fire at a Spruce Street residence. According to police, the caller observed heavy smoke coming from the chimney. However, upon arrival, officers found it was the normal amount of smoke and learned everything was OK.
- Lawrence Township police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Tractor Supply. According to police, the driver was found to have a warrant through the borough police, officers responded to the scene and the driver was able to satisfy the warrant.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on the Nichols Street Bridge. According to police, a motorist rear-ended another vehicle. No injuries occurred as a result of the mishap, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Police responded to a reported psychological emergency on West Front Street.
- Police responded to a reported dog bite at a Daisy Street residence. According to police information, one juvenile was bitten multiple times by a pit bull. Emergency personnel arrived on-scene and transported the juvenile to Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for medical treatment. Animal Control also responded to conduct an investigation.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of theft/access device fraud Thursday at Puff Super Value, Clearfield. During the incident, someone allegedly used the victim’s credit card to make unauthorized charges. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
