State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an assault Tuesday on Logan Road in Decatur Township. During a physical altercation, a 40-year-old Osceola Mills man allegedly struck the victim several times in the face and head, causing injury. State police located the man and he was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
- State police reported a drug-related DUI Tuesday in the area of the Clearfield-Woodland Highway and Roaring Run Lane in Bradford Township. During a traffic stop, a 19-year-old Clearfield man was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. State police say he was also in possession of a controlled substance and alcohol while underage. Charges are currently pending toxicology results.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report of identity theft Monday on Woodbury Road in Washington Township, Jefferson County. During the incident, someone allegedly used the victim’s information to open several credit card and loan accounts.
- State police received a report of harassment Jan. 21 on Smithtown Road in Washington Township, Jefferson County. During an argument, 47-year-old Gina Smith of Punxsutawney allegedly grabbed the victim’s arm and pushed him. State police also say she threw miscellaneous household items all over, which left the residence in a “disaster.” State police subsequently charged Smith with harassment and criminal mischief through the district court.
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Dec. 28 in the 8600 block of Coal Hill Road in Brady Township, Clearfield County. During a traffic stop, a 37-year-old Curwensville man was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. State police also say a subsequent search of the vehicle yielded drug paraphernalia. Charges are expected to be filed through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a bad check from Dec. 5. According to police, it was discovered that a male sent a bad check as payment for rent and water bills. Police were unable to make contact with the male, and charges are expected to be filed through the district court.
