CURWENSVILLE – The Kane Wolves upped its season record to 9-5 Friday evening with a 69-39 road victory over Curwensville on the Tide’s home floor, Patton Hall.
The Wolves made 11 three pointers on the evening with senior Chad Greville knocking down six treys to become high scorer for the game with 29 points.
Curwensville, playing once again without injured leading scorer Ty Terry, fell behind 21-12 after one quarter and 36-20 at the break.
The Golden Tide rallied in the third eight minutes and at one time cut the Kane margin to just eight before the Wolves regrouped and took control of the game.
Trevor Lansberry of the Tide had a good offensive night, leading the Curwensville offense with 22 points
Matt Deluca also had double figures for Kane with 12 tallies.
Kane also won the junior varsity contest, knocking off the Tide by a score of 38-26. High point man for Curwensville was Jayson Rowles with 14.
The Golden Tide (1-10) play again on Tuesday with a home game against Ridgway. JV tips-off at 6 pm with the varsity to immediately follow.
Curwensville lost to the Elkers in Ridgway in mid-December, 66-16.
