State police at Punxsutawney
- Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Kathleen Watters investigated a fire at 1 a.m. Tuesday at 294 Carbide Rd., Pike Township. According to Watters, the fire destroyed a two-car garage and all its contents. The cause of the fire remains undetermined, Watters said, noting no injuries occurred and damage is estimated at $60,000.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a male lying behind a truck in the area of East Sixth Street. According to police, it was found the male had fallen from the bed of the truck, and was injured in the process. He was subsequently transported by ambulance for medical treatment.
- Police responded to a reported psychological emergency at a North Fifth Street residence. According to police, a male was transported by ambulance for an evaluation.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance at a NW Second Avenue residence. According to police, a male sold another male’s new shoes, and an argument ensued. Both males were warned for their actions.
- Police responded to a reported psychological emergency at a West First Avenue residence. Upon arrival, two people were transported by ambulance for mental health evaluations.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person in the area of North Third Street. Upon arrival, police located the person on private property, and they were warned for their actions.
- Police conducted a welfare check at an Ogden Avenue residence. According to police, contact was made with the person who appeared to be in good health.
- Police received a report of trespassing at a local establishment on South Second Street. According to police, a known person entered the establishment who was previously trespassed via a court order. Charges are to be filed for the incident.
Curwensville Borough
- Police reported that drug paraphernalia was turned in after being found near a local business.
- Police reported that drug paraphernalia was turned in after being found on Pine Street.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with an incident on the Bloomington-Glen Richey Highway. As a result, police took a wanted male into custody.
- Police handled an incident of harassment that involved two students.
- Police responded to a reported 911 hang-up call. Upon further investigation, it was found police assistance wasn’t needed.
- Police were flagged down after drug paraphernalia was found in a resident’s backyard. Police collected a needle, and it was properly disposed of.
- Police responded to an initial report of a custody dispute on High Street. Later, police were called back for a psychological emergency; as a result, a female was transported to the Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
- Police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a wanted male being taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
- Police responded to an activated fire alarm at a Curwensville residence, and were assisted by Curwensville Rescue Hose & Ladder Co. fire and emergency personnel. No fire was found on-scene, police say.
