CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Historical Society is exited to announce the publication of its new cookbook, “Back in the Day: A Compilation of Clearfield County Recipes.”

The goal of this heirloom cookbook is to share recipes that have been family favorites – many for generations.  The recipes include ethnic and ancestral foods brought to America, as well as long-time and old-fashioned cooking and baking trends.

The recipes were submitted by those living or having family roots in Clearfield County. Many recipes are accompanied by food photos and those of the cooks themselves.

The cookbook is available for $12, including tax.  It is spiral bound and includes nearly 170 recipes.  The book may be purchased through the society’s Web site at clearfieldcountyhistoricalsociety.net or at the Kerr House Museum, at 104 E. Pine St., in Clearfield, at the CCHS Open House event on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
