Last Chance to Reserve Online Tickets for Men Who Cook

CLEARFIELD – Friday is the last day to reserve advance online tickets to the Men Who Cook Benefit on Saturday, Nov. 2nd at the Clearfield Fairgrounds, Expo 1.

Advance tickets are $20.  A limited number of tickets will also be sold at the door.

A sample of the chef’s creations will include: Sheriff Churner’s smoking guns beef brisket (donated by Tumakas Farms), chicken pasta asiago, BBQ ribs, shrimp tacos, stuffed chicken breast, lobster bisque, mini beef wellington, and canapes.

Others will include Phil’s meatballs, goulash, lasagna, Uncle Sam’s smoky buffalo chicken and bacon bowtie bonanza (donated by Belding & Mull), cheesiest mac & cheese, the best bean soup, crockpot pierogi and kielbasa casserole, loaded baked potato soup and carnitas with homemade tomatillo salsa and regular salsa, pumpkin dip, plus an array of award-winning desserts.

The lineup of cooks includes community leaders and businessmen who will showcase their culinary creations to benefit the Good Samaritan Center.

This BYOB event will begin at 5 p.m. with the men offering samples of their “specialties.” Attendees will vote for their favorite dishes by placing money in a tip jar located at each station.

The cook who raises the most funds will win the coveted “Golden Chef” Award and will reign as the local celebrity chef.

Afterwards, attendees will enjoy an evening of music and dancing with DJ Tim Winters. There will also be a Chinese auction featuring various cooking and grilling items and a 50/50.

Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Good Samaritan Center.
