Bilger’s Rocks Association to Host Haunted Hayrides

GRAMPIAN – The Bilger’s Rocks Association is hosting haunted hayrides this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26, at the rock park in Grampian.

Hayrides will begin at dusk, and run until all attendees have traveled through the haunted experience. The cost is $5 per person.

It will not only feature completely revamped “scare zones,” but characters and storyline, as well. The newest attraction will be “Fright Night on Stage.”

According to association President Dennis Biancuzzo, there will be 16 live scare zones in all. Attendees will vote on their favorite, and “best scare” actors will win a $100 cash prize.

The Northern Appalachian Film Collective will also host a “family-friendly” Halloween short film showcase, from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., both nights in the park’s amphitheater.

These independent film productions will be about 15 minutes in length and feature filmmakers from the local region and around the world.

A number of food vendors will also be on-hand like Boy Scout Troop 20 with hayride favorites, Ice House Café with ghoulish goodies and Dimmick’s Roadway Café with rolled ice cream.

Ladies of the American Legion will offer Halloween beanie babies and hot beverages.
