Bison JV Football Shut Out By Central

HYDE — The Clearfield Bison Junior Varsity football team fell to 0-2 on the season after a 14-0 whitewashing by the Central Dragons on Monday evening at the Bison Sports Complex.

Central scored on a 36 yard trick play double pass in the waning moments of the second quarter  to take a 6-0 halftime lead.

A third quarter “pick-6” closed out the scoring in the defensive battle. Central had two interceptions and a fumble recovery to help preserve the shut out.

Nate Natoli led the Bison offense with 37 yards on 11 carries. Logan Firanski had 22 yards rushing and 26 yards receiving.

Next Monday the Bison will travel to Huntingdon to face the Bearcats. They will next be home on September 23 when they host Central Mountain.
