Jeff Tech Holds Practical Nursing Program Graduation

REYNOLDSVILLE – Jeff Tech Practical Nursing Class 65 celebrated graduation on July 31.

Brenda Hodge, program coordinator, began the program with a welcome and the Florence Nightingale Pledge.

Graduation ceremony addresses were presented by Chuck Sallows, recreation therapist, Penn Highlands Healthcare, nursing instructor Alicia Hawk and graduates Brittanie Neubert and Matthew Tymczyszyn.

Graduates received nursing pins from Melissa Sturrock and Alicia Hawk. Cathy Striegel and Lisa Dush presented flowers to each graduate.

Brittanei Neubert was class valedictorian and Brianna Bojalad was class salutatorian. Michaela Morgan was chosen by her classmates to receive the “Diana McLaughlin Peer Recognition Award.”

Brittanie Neubert was selected by the faculty for the “Bridget Nestor Christenson Spirit of Nursing Award.” Brianna Bojalad received the “Mark Ruth Spirit of Nursing Award” for excellence as a returning adult student.

Bridgette Deibler received the “Most Improved Student” award. Matthew Tymczyszyn was awarded “Scientific Inquiry” interest in nursing.

Jessica Adams, Samantha Dinger and Alexis Hallowell had outstanding attendance.

A reception for graduates and their friends and families was held immediately following the graduation ceremony.

The Jeff Tech Practical Nursing Program wishes to thank all the community affiliating agencies whose participation made this graduation possible.
